Here is some basic history on our lead pipe organ technician...

Robert G. Lent has been actively involved in the pipe organ trade for over 50 years. In his youth, he began his work with the renovations of a Moller pipe organ in his local church in Collingswood, New Jersey. While in high school, he maintained an aging theatre organ in a Philadelphia theatre.

Since the 1960's, he has maintained, serviced, tuned, upgraded, and rebuilt 1,000's of pipe and combination digital/pipe organs. He has served in the pipe organ industry in multiple positions including a full-time Road Mechanic traveling the country maintaining organs, General Manager of Operations for United States Pipe Organ Company, and Manager of Sales and Operations for Klann Organ Supply.

Norman Whitesel Church Organs is pleased that Bob and his family moved to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Now he leads the team in dealing with any and all pipe organ and hybrid organ issues. His first contract for rebuilding was signed with the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Staunton, VA. The job was completed on time and under budget, which is what we strive for every time.

Mr. Lent's services have also been utilized by other companies in areas of re-leathering and on site installation expertise. From 2001 through 2004, he provided on site sub contract services for the Austin Organ Company in getting three large Aeolian and E.M. Skinner organs installed and ready for service.
